Longer Bio

I've always been intrigued by people, their minds and their behavior. Born and raised in South Korea, a country that has experienced rapid growth within a short time, I've seen firsthand how dramatically people's values and behavior can change with the influx of new ideas and systems. During my years of working at several large global corporations, I observed how motivation and communication faltered in the workplace. The more people I met, the more I became curious about the various factors driving people's behaviors, particularly the ones that cannot be explained by human rationality.

I am eager to bridge the gap between academia and industry by sharing scientific findings to help practitioners and individuals tackle their pressing people-related challenges. I am currently exploring the following questions in-depth:

  • How can we effectively motivate people at work to help enhance performance and foster growth?

  • What are the underling factors and psychology that drive biases in decision making?

  • What are the potential mid- and long-term effects of AI technology on human motivation and behavior?
